Tausiah Maruf Amin After Friday Prayers In Palu: Must Take Care Of Yourself To Avoid Exposure To COVID-19

PALU - The Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Ma'ruf reminded the obligations of Indonesian citizens, especially Muslims, to take care of themselves to avoid and not be exposed to COVID-19.

He explained that preventing COVID-19 from spreading to a person and spreading it to residents was not only a health issue but also a problem, especially in Islam.

"According to the teachings of Islam, preventing and guarding oneself from disease or keeping the soul from dying (died) because COVID-19 is part of one of the Shari'a (orders of Allah SWT)," he said while giving a short tausiah after performing Friday prayers in congregation at Al-Mujahidin Mosque Complex for the Governor of Central Sulawesi Province (Sulteng) in Palu City, reported by Antara, Friday, January 7. Therefore, he asked not to be careless and continue to comply with health protocols to prevent the transmission and spread of COVID-19.

Residents in all regions in Indonesia, including Muslims, must strengthen their immune system so they are not easily exposed to COVID-19, including by following vaccinations and adopting a healthy lifestyle.

"The year 2022 is a year for improvement. Who is better today than yesterday, then he is a lucky person. Who is the same as yesterday, then he loses and who is worse today than yesterday, then he is destroyed," he said.
