Absence At The Australian Open Is No Problem, Novak Djokovic Has A Net Worth Of IDR 3.15 Trillion

JAKARTA - Tennis player Novak Djokovic is having a complicated moment in his sporting career and personal life after it was confirmed he will not take part in the Australian Open which starts next Monday.

Djokovic's ambition of chasing a tenth title at the tournament must be hampered by vaccine regulations.

The tennis player who has 20 grand slam titles flew to Kangaroo Country on Wednesday. However, once there he was not allowed in.

Djokovic was able to fly to Australia due to a medical exemption regarding his COVID-19 vaccination status. However, upon arrival in Australia he could not show evidence of an exception to the vaccine obligation for Australia.

It made the Australian government had to cancel the tennis player's visa. The cancellation was announced live by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morisson on Twitter.

Srdjan Djokovic, Novak's father, reported that his son was isolated and held in a room at Melbourne Airport, without access to his cell phone and unable to contact members of his team.

So many wonder if this episode will affect the Serb's net worth this year.

According to Wealthy Gorilla, Djokovic's net worth in 2022 is $220 million, an amount he mostly earns as a professional tennis player.

Meanwhile in 2021, his best year ever, he set a record one-season earnings of $12 million on the ATP World Tour.

But, if you think about it, that much wealth is enough for Djokovic's retirement capital, right?
