Every 2 Months DPRD DKI Promises To Come To The Control Location For Formula E Circuit Construction
JAKARTA - PKS legislator from Commission B DPRD Abdul Aziz promised to oversee the construction of the Formula E circuit in Ancol, North Jakarta every two months. This is an international celebration and he wants to make sure the implementation is completed before June 2022.
"We will check the location again so that it can be confirmed that it will be completed in June," said Head of Commission B of the DKI DPRD, Abdul Aziz, in Jakarta, Friday, January 7, as reported by Antara.
He admitted that there had been no construction at the location of the electric car racing event in Ancol and there were only benchmarks.
For this reason, the representative of the people of DKI Jakarta hopes that it will be held soon considering that the event is a large and international race so that there will not be a delay just because the infrastructure is not ready.
"This is a big, international agenda. Don't let there be any delays," he said.
The PKS politician also hopes that supervision will not only come from members of the council but also the public and the commissioner of the DKI Jakarta BUMD, namely PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol.
"There is already a commissioner there as a representative of the DKI Regional Government, the supervisor already has a commissioner there. The point is we will control there every two months," said Aziz.
Previously, Giring Ganesha together with members of the PSI faction of the DKI DPRD Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo, and Chairman of the DKI Jakarta PSI DPW Michael Victor Sianipar reviewed the location of the candidate circuit for the Formula E event.
While walking around, Giring recorded a video showing himself on a stretch of vacant land that will be used as the circuit for the electric car racing event.
Observation of Giring, the location is soft soil partly overgrown with grass. Piles of mangrove roots are also visible at some points. Giring also saw the goats looking for food.
Giring admits that he is surprised that the DKI Provincial Government is still confident that it can hold Formula E. This is because the implementation day is only five months away, while the circuit has not yet been built and the location is considered unsuitable for a racing car track.
"It's crazy that this is a Formula E project, isn't it. A very ambitious project. A big budget, using public money, and very short preparation time. I'm not sure that this circuit construction could happen. If it happened, it would have been forced. -Shame on the name of Indonesia, it's in the eyes of the international community," said Giring in a video uploaded to his Twitter account, Wednesday, January 5.
