The Panasdalam Bank Kulik Parasite Relationship In Mini Album Yes I Am
JAKARTA - The Panasdalam Bank once again enliven the Indonesian music industry with their newest EP (mini album), Yes I Am. This album contains six tracks with two tracks released last year, namely “You Orang Gula” and “Dracula”.
After more than 10 years of absence from releasing an original album, The Panasdalam Bank was finally able to solve it with "Yes I Am". Finally, they released the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack “Voor Milea” with Pidi Baiq in 2020.
Erwin Koboi, vocalist and player of Harmonika The Panasdalam Bank said, the EP "Yes I Am" brings out another flavor in his music.
"In this EP, we present 1 opening track and 5 new songs that summarize the stories of love, sadness, and heartbreak experienced by teenagers who are often attacked by feelings of confusion and are told with witty lyrics," Erwin said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, January 7 .
The Panasdalam Bank is known for its honest and verbal lyrics and diction. For example, the lyrics for the single "Yes I Am" with the same title as the album.
With the folk-rock genre, the song "Yes I Am" sung by the band under the label Warner Music Indonesia depicts a parasitic relationship that someone does in a relationship.
“Imagine if I were your girlfriend. You always pay for eating at a restaurant. Yes I am parasite yes I am. Yes I am parasite yes I am," more or less the eccentric lyrics of a group from Bandung appeared in "Yes I Am".
Alga, another vocalist added, "Every song has a different tone, we've never made a song with a tone, for example, do, do. This is very different."
The six tracks on the mini album were produced by Nawa Luba, guitarist for The Panasdalam Bank. Pidi Baiq, whose name is closely related to this band, was appointed as the composer.
Meanwhile, the album artwork for "Yes I Am" was created by Ibas. Now, all single EP "Yes I Am" can be enjoyed on music streaming platforms in Indonesia.
