One Family Attack Incident In Cipinang Melayu, Offended When Riding A Motorcycle To Looting House Contents

JAKARTA - A joint team from the East Jakarta Metro Police and the Makassar Sector Police succeeded in arresting three perpetrators of the abuse of a family on Sulawesi Street, Cipinang Melayu Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta. However, officers are still pursuing the four fellow perpetrators who are still on the loose.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Makassar Police, Iptu Mochamad Zen, said the three perpetrators were arrested at his home in the Cipinang Melayu area. When arrested, the perpetrators did not fight back.

"When he was arrested the other perpetrator was standing in front of the house, the other was out of an alley near his house. There was no resistance during the arrest," Zen told reporters, Thursday, January 6.

Zen continued, at that moment the perpetrator immediately admitted his actions. So, Zen continued, the perpetrators were immediately detained at the Makassar Police.

Meanwhile, the East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Budi Sartono said that his members were investigating the victim's statement which stated that the perpetrators reached 20 people when they carried out the attack.

"We are still investigating, because it could be that those who saw it were witnesses (saw) that they did not participate in the beating but joined the crowd," said Budi Sartono.

Currently, the police are still developing the case by asking for information from the three suspects, AE (53), VO (23) and AA (20), who were the masterminds of the commotion.

"What is certain is that there were seven perpetrators, the results of the provisional information that we got from these (three) people. But later it can develop if we take (arrest) the four more people (DPOs). If these four DPOs admit there are his friend again, yes we take (arrest) again," he said.

The police did not want to rush into arresting the perpetrators. This is because officers need accurate information to assist in the investigation process.

"What is certain is that our information must be valid, to state who the perpetrators are. But from the initial information that we arrested three people, the perpetrators were seven people," he said.

It is known that two of the three suspects with the initials AE and VO are father and son. While the four suspects who were DPO had the initials LN, VG, AT and AG.

The incident started with a verbal altercation between the perpetrators of VO and two victims named Marwan (23) and Ramdoni (25).

According to victim Ramdoni, the beating his family experienced began when he and his sister were on their way home at around 03.00 WIB.

"On the village road, the perpetrators rushed their motorbikes. So my sister and I wanted to pass, when the incident happened, we both took motorbikes," said Ramdoni to reporters, Wednesday, January 5.

However, the perpetrators, who are known to be residents of the Cipinang Melayu Village, misunderstood, resulting in a dispute. The two victims were suddenly attacked by the perpetrator. The victim tried to run away to his house.

Not long after, a group of perpetrators came to attack the victim's house and beat everyone in the victim's house.

As a result of this act, a family of five people became victims of the beatings. The female victims had the initials TS (50) and SP (25). Meanwhile, the male victims had the initials MW (26), MS (30) and RD (32). The victims received injuries to the face and legs. Not only that, the perpetrators also confiscated a number of items in the victim's house.

Therefore, the suspects are threatened with three layers of articles for criminal acts of theft with violence, beatings and severe abuse.
