AGO Arrests Fugitives In Corruption Cases In North Bengkulu
JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office for Arresting Fugitives (Tabur) has arrested suspect S alias US, who is a fugitive in a corruption case involving the misuse of the Karya Pelita Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBDes), North Bengkulu Regency.
"S alias US is a suspect in the alleged corruption case of misuse of APBDes) Karya Pelita Village, Marga Sakti Sebelat District, North Bengkulu Regency in 2017, causing a loss of Rp. 400,287,193.00," said Head of the Attorney General's Office for Legal Information Center Leonard Eben. Ezer Simanjuntak in a written statement quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 6.
The Attorney General's Office team arrested suspect S alias US at Cahaya Darussalam 2 Housing, North Tambun, Bekasi Regency, West Java.
The security, said Leonard, was carried out by the Attorney General's Fugitive Arrest Team because when S alias US was summoned as a suspect by the investigating prosecutor of the North Bengkulu District Attorney (Kejari) did not come.
Therefore, S alias US was put on the wanted list (DPO).
"Suspect S alias US was secured after the search was intensified by the Attorney General's Office for Arresting Fugitives (Tabur)," he said.
Currently, the suspect S alias US is deposited in the Salemba State Detention Center (Rutan) of the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office. The suspect will then be dispatched to North Bengkulu on Friday, January 7 by complying with health protocols.
Through the Prosecution's Sow (Capture Fugitives) program, his party appealed to all people who entered the AGO's DPO to immediately surrender and be held accountable for their actions because there is no safe place for fugitives.
