PUPR: Construction Of The Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap Toll Road Is To Support West Java And Central Java Tourism

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) revealed that the construction of the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap Toll Road aims to support West Java and Central Java tourism.

"The construction of this toll road aims to connect West Java with Central Java and support tourism in West Java and Central Java," said an official statement quoted from the PUPR Ministry's simpulkpbu in Jakarta, Thursday.

The Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap Toll Road will have a length of 184 km and 10 interchanges. The plan is that this toll road will have 2 lanes with 2 lanes each. This toll road is planned to be operational in 2024.

This toll road category is an unsolicited Government Cooperation with Business Entity (PPP) project, where the main source of investment returns is the User Charge. The concession period for the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap toll road is for 40 years.

The route or route of the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap Toll Road will be planned to consist of two stages, namely the first stage of the 95.2 Km Gedebage-Tasikmalaya toll road section which will pass through Garut and Tasikmalaya.

For the second stage, the Tasikmalaya-Cilacap toll road section with a length of approximately 111 km will pass through Ciamis, Banjar, and Cilacap.

Previously, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) targeted the construction of the first phase of the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap Toll Road to begin in 2022, namely the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya toll road.

Member of BPJT Professional Element Koentjahjo Pamboedi said that the Gedebage - Tasikmalaya - Cilacap toll road section is in the construction and operation stages divided into 2 parts, namely Phase 1 Gedebage - Tasikmalaya, and the construction will be carried out in 2022 until it is completed by 2024.

Then the next Phase 2 of the Tasikmalaya - Cilacap Toll Road in 2027 is estimated to be completed in 2029 and later there will be an operating gap of around 3 years.

The Jasa Marga Consortium was determined by the PUPR Ministry as the winner of the Gedebage-Tasikmalaya-Cilacap or Getaci Toll Road investment auction.
