After The Investigation, Haris Azhar Twice Did Not Attend The Examination And Asked To Be Rescheduled
JAKARTA - The reported case of alleged defamation, Haris Azhar, is said to have failed to fulfill the summons for examination twice. The report is currently up for investigation.
"So today Haris Azhar did not come (for the examination, ed)," said the Director of Special Crimes at the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Auliansyah Lubis to reporters, Thursday, January 6.
Apart from today, Haris did not fulfill the call last December 23. At that time, Haris Azhar asked investigators to postpone the examination schedule.
"So last December we called Haris Azhar for December 23, but at that time Pak Haris sent a letter to us asking for a delay," said Auliansyah.
Haris then asked for a postponement until January. Thus, investigators scheduled the examination on January 6. However, Haris Azhar again failed to comply with the summons for the examination. Through his lawyer, the Head of Lokataru again asked the investigators to postpone the examination.
"But today, we should have received a letter from Haris Azhar asking for another postponement in February 2022," he said.
Previously, the alleged defamation case with reported Haris Azhar and Fatia Maulidianti had been upgraded to the investigation stage. However, both of them are still witnesses.
"It's been fingerprinted but in principle Haris Azhar is still a witness," said Auliansyah.
