Not Only Arresting Two People, KPK Finds Hundreds Of Millions Of Rupiah Related To The OTT Of The Mayor Of Bekasi
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has again recovered hundreds of millions of rupiah after arresting two additional people related to the hand arrest operation (OTT) that ensnared Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi or Kang Pepen.
Acting KPK Spokesperson for the Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri revealed that his party obtained this finding when they returned to take action on Thursday, January 6 afternoon.
"This afternoon, the KPK team again arrested another ASN in the Bekasi City Government and one private party along with evidence of hundreds of millions of rupiah," Ali told reporters, Thursday, January 6.
Even so, Ali did not specify the amount of money that the KPK had secured in the silent operation. Moreover, this is not the first money finding in this activity.
With the addition of these two people, the number of OTT KPK netted reached 14 people.
As previously reported, the KPK conducted an OTT in the Bekasi area, West Java at around 14.00 WIB. During the silent operation, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested dozens of people, including the Mayor of Bekasi Rahmat Effendi or who is often called Kang Pepen.
In addition, the Bekasi City Government Civil Apparatus (ASN) and the private sector were also arrested. There are also transactions that occurred during the silent operation, allegedly related to bribes in the procurement of goods and services and the auction of positions.
