Before being caught by the KPK OTT, Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi once wrote that corruption would never become a culture. Through his Twitter account, Rahmat Effendi or who is usually called Kang Pepen uploaded the tweet in 2019. The OTT, which was held by the KPK, was related to bribes in the procurement of goods and services as well as the auction of positions in the Bekasi area, West Java. Apart from Rahmat Effendi, dozens of people were also arrested in the OTT which was held on Wednesday, January 5.
