Viral Tri Adhianto Becomes Acting Mayor Of Bekasi City After Rahmat Effendi Was Arrested By The KPK, Golkar: Edited By Unscrupulous Persons

BEKASI - The Golkar Party faction of the DPRD Bekasi, West Java, clarified a screenshot of the wikipedia page that was circulating virally in the community containing the edited status of the Bekasi Mayor's Acting Officer to the Deputy Mayor of Bekasi, Tri Adhianto.

"This was edited by an irresponsible person, the information is not correct, it cannot be accounted for in any way," said the chairman of the Golkar faction of the Bekasi DPRD, Daryanto, in Bekasi, as reported by Antara, Thursday, January 6.

He said the process of appointing regional heads cannot be carried out in a short period of time, especially when the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested the Mayor of Bekasi, Rahmat Effendi, just yesterday afternoon.

"Please, those who change the status of the Deputy Mayor of Bekasi to become the executor of the task to both respect the ongoing legal process. We must prioritize the principle of presumption of innocence," he said.

According to him, the proposed appointment of the Bekasi mayor is the authority of the West Java Provincial Government through a request submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

"The provincial proposal was also carried out after receiving the results of the legal decisions of the competent authorities on the cases being handled. In this case, there must be clarity on the status of Mr. Rahmat Effendi first," he said.

The people of Bekasi City and Regency were surprised today by the change in status of the Deputy Mayor of Bekasi, Tri Adhianto, to Acting Mayor of Bekasi replacing Effendi who was arrested by the KPK on January 5, 2022.

The status change appears in the wikipedia screenshot when accessing a Google page that contains information about Adhianto's personal data. In a short time the screenshot went viral and went viral on social media.
