Fighting Thugs On The Street, Father And Son Involved In Persecution And Looting Of Households In Cipinang Melayu
JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested three suspects in the beating of a family on Jalan Sulawesi, Cipinang Melayu Village, East Jakarta. Ironically, two of the three perpetrators are father and son.
"Both father and son have the initials AE (53) and VO (23). Meanwhile, one other perpetrator has the initials AA (20)," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Budi Sartono to reporters, Thursday, January 6.
According to witnesses at the scene at the time, in their action, the perpetrators acted like thugs on the street, dragging and beating the victim blindly, then taking items from the crime scene.
"While four other people are still at large, namely the initials LN, VG, AT and AG," he said.
As a result of this act, a family of five people became victims of the beating. The female victims had the initials TS (50) and SP (25). Meanwhile, the male victims had the initials MW (26), MS (30) and RD (32).
"The victims received injuries to the face and legs. The suspects were charged with multiple layers of criminal acts of theft with violence, beatings and severe abuse," he said.
Previously, it was reported that two victims were beaten, named Marwan (23) and Ramdoni (25). Both of them were battered as a result of being beaten by dozens of perpetrators at their house in RW 03, Cipinang Melayu Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta.
According to victim Ramdoni, the beating his family experienced began when he and his sister were on their way home at around 03.00 WIB.
"So on the village road, the perpetrators rushed their motorbikes. So my sister and I wanted to pass, when the incident happened, we both took motorbikes," said Ramdoni to reporters, Wednesday, January 5.
The two victims were polite by offering apologies when they were about to cross the perpetrator. They even wished them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
However, the perpetrators, who are known to be residents of the Cipinang Melayu Village, misunderstood, resulting in a dispute. The two victims were suddenly attacked by the perpetrator.
