Kendari Social Service Office Burns

KENDARI - The Kendari City Social Service Office, Southeast Sulawesi, located at Jalan Abunawas No. 8, Bende Village, Kadia District, was engulfed by the red rooster.

Head of the Kendari City Fire Department (Kadis) Junaidin Umar said his party had deployed five firefighters with 35 personnel.

"I directly led the firefighting operation and I estimated the incident at sunset because by the time we came here the fire was already big, and to extinguish this fire we dispatched five fire engines," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 5.

Based on the information gathered, the Social Service Office caught fire at around 18.00 WITA.

The fire that scorched the two Social Service buildings became a spectacle for local residents and went viral on various social media such as WhatsApp groups.

After trying hard, the fire brigade team managed to extinguish the fire at around 19:44 WITA.

He admitted that he had some difficulties in extinguishing the fire, namely the access road to the location of the fire was narrow, especially because of the density of residents who came to the scene. "But thank God we managed to put out the fire," he said.

While the cause of the fire is not yet known, according to Junaidin, it is up to the police to investigate.

The fire engulfed the two main buildings of the Kendari City Social Service, it was estimated that thousands of documents had burned down, but in this incident there was still one building right in front of the main building.

In addition, regarding the number of losses, there has been no official statement from the Kendari City Social Service regarding this disaster.
