Head Of Public Health Center In Tulungagung Who Failed To Accelerate Vaccination Threatened With Mutation
TULUNGAGUNG - The Regent of Tulungagung Maryoto Birowo stated his threat to the heads of his regional health centers who failed to accelerate the vaccination of children within 10 days.
"I ask that this target (acceleration) can be met and nothing will be delayed," he said while giving a speech at the coordination meeting for the handling of COVID-19 and the acceleration of vaccination at the Tulungagung Hall, East Java, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 5.
For those who exceed the stipulated time limit, the head of the puskesmas will be removed. Meanwhile, those who are consistent and can meet the target time effectively and efficiently, will receive a proper reward.
"If the Head of the (Health) Service can't remove it, I'll just take it off," said Maryoto to laughter and applause from the meeting participants.
When confirmed after a meeting related to the threat, the Regent was reluctant to answer in more detail.
According to him, his statement is an encouragement for the heads of puskesmas to make vaccinations for children aged between 6 and 11 years successful.
Regarding the sanction of removal from office, he emphasized that his party would submit it entirely to the head of the health department.
"Therefore, every head of the puskesmas must be able to complete the vaccination target for a maximum of 10 days," he said.
The head of the Tulungagung District Health Office, dr. Kasil Rokhmad admitted that he was quite optimistic that the acceleration target could be met.
After the vaccination kick-off on Tuesday, January 4th, all ranks immediately moved to immunize to primary schools and MI.
