Important For Service, Purwakarta Regency Government Prioritizes Tax Revenue Sharing Funds For Village Internet
JABAR - The Regency Government of Purwakarta, West Java, will prioritize the use of revenue-sharing funds from village taxes and user fees for the provision of internet networks in hundreds of villages around Purwakarta.
Head of the Purwakarta Community and Village Empowerment Service (DPMD), Jaya Pranolo, said that previously the budget for the provision of internet networks in 105 villages was in the Information and Communications Office. However, this year the source of the budget has been shifted.
"Internet networks in villages are important. This village internet service is part of the commitment of the Purwakarta Regency Government to develop village digitization and improve services in villages," he said in Karawang as reported by Antara, Wednesday, January 5.
For this, the Purwakarta Regency Government will prioritize the use of revenue-sharing funds for village taxes and levies in 2022, one of which is for village internet activities as a commitment to improving services and developing village digitization.
According to him, village internet services are now a necessity and a mandatory requirement in villages related to village administration services and activities to the community.
He also revealed that the central government through the Kemendes PDTT has the same program related to village digitization, one of which is the Village Internet through the 2022 Village Fund Program.
"So for 2022, the village government just needs to choose one of the budget sources for Internet Village activities, which can be sourced from village funds or tax revenue-sharing funds," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding which provider the village will choose as a village internet service provider, it is entirely up to the village to choose based on the considerations and analysis of the respective village administrations.
