Rahmat Effendi Arrested By KPK, Deputy Mayor Of Bekasi Claims Not To Know And Can't Comment
BEKASI - Deputy Mayor of Bekasi Tri Adhianto admitted that he did not know the news circulating regarding the arrest of Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi in the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrest operation.
This was conveyed by the chairman of the PDIP Central Executive Board, Sukur Nababan, who was interviewed with Tri at the PDI-P DPC office in Bekasi City.
"We don't know yet, we are still busy with the party. I also just checked with Mr. Tri, he doesn't know either," he said in Bekasi, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, January 5.
He said that his party did not want to comment on something that he did not know. "So we can't comment on what we don't know," he said. It is known that the KPK held a hand arrest operation in Bekasi City, West Java. The Mayor of Bekasi is reportedly involved in the silent operation.
"It is true that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has carried out active arrests in the Bekasi area, West Java,'" said KPK Deputy Chair Nurul Ghufron.
