Shhh! Someone Secretly Sends 40 Million XRP To Another Wallet

JAKARTA – In the midst of XRP's feud with the SEC, Whale Alert tweeted about Ripple and cryptocurrency exchange giant Binance having entered into a transaction that resulted in over 170 million US dollars in XRP. In addition, the account also revealed that 40,000,000 XRP coins had been transferred to its extra wallet, RL18-VN.

U.Today reports that 40,000,000 XRP was sent to one of the RL18-VN wallets. The latter is often used to send XRP outside the company. That equates to 33,057,964 US dollars in fiat at the current exchange rate of 0.8 US dollars (approximately 11,494) per XRP coin.

As for the Binance exchange, it has been a sender and a receiver in four other crypto transactions. A total of 122 million XRP have been sent between Binance internal wallets, as well as transferred between anonymous crypto addresses and exchanges.

However, Bithomp, the platform that provides analytical data on XRP, clarified that these “unknown wallets” are the Huobi exchange and another wallet belonging to Binance itself. Houbi moved 45 million XRP to Binance and the latter transferred 118 million coins between its internal addresses.

Currently XRP is in the position of the 8th largest crypto in the world by market capitalization. Coinecko reports that XRP is trading at IDR 11,838. The price of XRP has decreased by 11.7 percent in the last 24 hours. ATH XRP happened last January 2018, it's been four years. Until now, XRP has not broken its new all-time high.
