DKI Provincial Government Asks DPRD To Agree To Use APBD BTT To Cover PJLP UMP Which Increases 5.1 Percent

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is asking for approval from the DKI DPRD to cover the budget requirements for paying salaries for other individual service providers (PJLP) for the DKI Provincial Government due to the revised increase in the provincial minimum wage (UMP).

It is known that the increase in the DKI UMP was revised from 0.85 percent to 5.1 percent after the DKI Regional Budget for the 2022 budget year was ratified.

Therefore, the DKI Provincial Government requires an additional PJLP salary payment budget which is planned to be allocated from the unexpected expenditure budget (BTT) to cover the DKI UMP.

This was conveyed by the Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD), Edi Sumantri at the DPRD Budget Board Meeting with TAPD.

"This is asking for approval from the Chairman, Pak Sekda, for the fulfillment of the 2022 UMP adjustment, which will be carried out through changes to the regional head regulations (regulations for regional heads) prior to the 2022 APBD changes, the funds will be taken from the BTT budget allocation with urgent criteria in January," he said. Edi at the DKI DPRD Building, Wednesday, January 5th.

Edi explained, if it is approved, the amount of salary payment fulfillment for the revised UMP increase will be calculated. Then, there will be a shift to changes in local regulations that precede the 2022 APBD changes. This will also be reported to the DPRD.

"The allocation of the budget taken from the BTT will be reported and submitted to the DKI Jakarta DPRD," said Edi.

For information, the Governor of DKI Jakarta has set the UMP for 2022 in DKI at Rp.4,641,854, an increase of 5.1 percent. The revised UMP increase is contained in the DKI Jakarta Governor's Decree Number 1517 of 2021 concerning the Provincial Minimum Wage of 2022.
