Rayna Foss, Former Coal Chamber Bassist Missing Since September Last Year
JAKARTA - Former Coal Chamber bassist Rayna Foss has been reported missing since last summer.
According to New Orleans police, 51-year-old Foss was reported missing by the band's manager Coal Chamber after being last seen on September 7, 2021.
He is described as being 5.3 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds.
Foss was one of the founding members of Coal Chamber who was in the band from 1994 to 1999. He briefly returned to the group's line-up in the early 2000s.
The bassist was involved in the production of Coal Chamber's 1997 debut albums, Chamber Music (1999) and Dark Days (2002).
In an interview, Foss once said that the name Coal Chamber actually came from two competing names.
"Just before I joined, they were called Coal. (Singer) Dez (Fafara) liked the name and (guitarist) Meegs (Miguel Rascón) (wanted to change the name) to Chamber," Foss was quoted as saying by Blabbermouth.
"They both liked the name so we put it together like peanut butter and jelly, and that's it," concluded Foss.
Now, the police are asking anyone with additional information on Foss' whereabouts to contact NOPD Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070.
