Head Of Medan District Court Is Positive For COVID-19, All Judges Will Test Swab

MEDAN - The Medan District Court (PN), North Sumatra) will not temporarily close the office regarding the current condition. The head of the Medan District Court, Sutio Jumagi Akhirno previously tested positive for COVID-19.

This statement was made by the Public Relations Officer of the Medan District Court, Imanuel Tarigan at his office, Tuesday, August 25. The decision to temporarily close activities at the Medan District Court is still waiting for the judges' swab test.

"Until today, those who have been positively exposed are still the leaders. We just did a rapid and swab on August 27 and 28. So if there is a policy to close activities, maybe after the results of the swab are out," said Imanuel.

For a while, officers sprayed disinfectant at Medan District Court. Coordinated with the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling (GTPP) and the Medan City Health Office.

"So every afternoon we spray disinfectant. Then on August 27-28, we will carry out a swab and rapid for all judges, structural functional officials to ASN and honoraria," said Imanuel.

In addition, starting next week until September 4, Medan District Court will also implement a work from home policy for some judges and employees. Meanwhile, employees who are in direct contact with public services continue to work in the office.

"So the trial on that date will continue. It is only possible to postpone for 2 weeks for those who can be postponed," he continued.

Meanwhile, regarding the condition of the Head of the Medan District Court, Imanuel ensured that the judge who had a career at the Jakarta Corruption Court was in good condition. Sutio is currently undergoing isolation at the Royal Prima Medan Hospital.
