A Dolphin Dies After Stranding On The Beach Of South Aceh
MEULABOH - Head of the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) of Aceh Province Agus Arianto said a 2.5 meter long dolphin found on the beach of Ujung Mangki Village, Bakongan District, South Aceh Regency died after being stranded on the beach.
"This dolphin died because it was stranded, so far we have not found any other indications," Agus said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 4.
According to him, there are no signs that indicate a specific cause of death of the dolphin whose carcass was found on the beach.
According to Agus, BKSDA officers along with other government officials with the help of residents and volunteers have buried the dolphin carcass not far from the location where the carcass was found.
On Sunday, January 2, a resident found the carcass of a dolphin on the beach in Ujung Mangki Village, Bakongan District, South Aceh Regency. The dolphin carcass is about 2.5 meters long.
