His Eyes Were Hit By A Cobra Venom, 3 Residents Of Jember Were Taken To The Hospital
JEMBER - Three residents of Jember, East Java were taken to the hospital because their eyes were hit by cobra venom.
The three residents are Lamidi, Musleh and Rio, residents of the Kreongan neighborhood, Patrang Village, Jember, Tuesday, January 4.
One of the victim's neighbors, Rully said the snake entered Lamidi's cattle pen. The snake is in a puddle.
"At first, Lamidi didn't think it was a snake. When Lamidi approached, it turned out that the snake was approached and it spouted and hit Mr. Lamidi's eye," said Rully, Tuesday, January 4.
At that time the other two victims Musleh and Rio intended to help evacuate the 1 meter long snake. Who would have thought that both of them were also hit by a burst of snake venom right in the eye.
"Finally, the three victims were rushed to the hospital for intensive treatment," he explained.
Residents also asked the firefighters for help.
"Moreover, the snake's position has moved to the Love Bird's cage which is smaller and narrower. We also contacted the fire department," he said.
Meanwhile, the coordinator of Team B of the Jember Regency Fire Department (Damkar) Aris Setiawan said his team immediately came to the scene to catch the cobra.
"We received reports from residents that a cobra had entered the house. In fact, it caused three victims due to the cobra's venom. We went to the TKP with 5 personnel from the Head of Team B of the Jember Regency Government and members from the Rambi Puji Fire Station," said Aris.
According to information from residents, about one Love Bird belonging to Lamidi was eaten by the venomous snake.
"Even one bird has been eaten. Then the residents intended to catch the snake. First, the owner of the house who wanted to catch it, but was hit by a burst of snake venom. Then asked other residents for help there were two people who were also affected by snake venom. The three victims were injured in the eye and immediately He was taken to the hospital for treatment," he said.
When caught, the snake's position was in a small love bird cage.
"So to handle it, we have to use PPE, especially glasses. Because this snake is aggressive and keeps spitting out venom," he said.
The snake was caught within 10 minutes. Furthermore, the cobra was secured at the Jember Regency Government's Mako Damkar.
