Again, Bandung Police Arrest 4 Perpetrators Of Rape Of A 14-Year-Old Child, A Total Of 7 Suspects
BANDUNG - Bandung Police have arrested four new suspects in an immoral case against a 14-year-old child that occurred some time ago in the city of Bandung, West Java (West Java).
Bandung Police Chief Kombes Pol Aswin Sipayung said the four suspects had the initials AS (30), NOP (23), AA (24), and OI (30). They are suspected of having a role in using a messaging app and then raping the victim.
"They used a messaging application by posting a photo of the victim and being greeted by the suspect who used the service, so that's the method," said Aswin, at the Bandung Police Headquarters, Antara, Tuesday, January 4.
Now the suspects have been detained in the Bandung Polrestabes Detention Center cell. The four of them, he said, would be examined further to conduct an in-depth investigation.
According to him, seven suspects have now been arrested in this case. The three suspects who had previously been arrested were the initials IM (18), MS (18), and SV (16).
Currently the police have arrested the suspects and charged them with multiple articles, namely the RI Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Criminal Act of Trafficking in Persons, Articles 2, 6, 11, 12 with a minimum penalty of three years and a maximum of 15 years imprisonment.
The police also charged the suspect with Article 76 I in conjunction with Article 88 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years and a fine of IDR 200 million.
