Pertamina Drills Six Development Wells In Early 2022
JAKARTA - Pertamina's Upstream Subholding begins 2022 by drilling six development wells in several work areas spread throughout Indonesia.
Right at the time of the change from 2021 to 2022, in the Sumatra Region three wells were drilled, namely First, the KRG-PA1 well drill by Pertamina EP (PEP) Limau Field This well is located in Rambang Senuling Village, Rambang Kapak Tengah District, Prabumulih, Sumatra South and drilled using RIG PDSI #32.2/N80UE-E.
In addition, Pertamina also drilled the PRD-09 well in the PEP Rantau Field and the MNA-P03 well in the Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) Minas field.
Also attending the inaugural drilling event were SKK Migas officials, Deputy for Planning Benny Lubiantara, Vice President for Operations Sondang Maria, Head of SKK Migas Representative for Sumbagut Region, Rikky Rahmat Firdaus, Head of SKK Migas Representative for South Sumatra Region Anggono Mahendrawan and Director of Development and Production for Pertamina Hulu Energi Taufik Adityawarman.
In addition to the Sumatra Region, drilling activities for three development wells are also carried out in the Kalimantan Region, namely well B-2102 in Zone 10 of Pertamina EP Bunyu Field, well STW-08 in Zone 9 of Pertamina EP Sangatta Field and well TN-AA323 in Zone 8 of Pertamina Hulu. Mahakam (PHM) Tunu field.
"Early this year, drilling the well was carried out as an acceleration effort, so it is hoped that Pertamina can contribute optimally in efforts to maintain the national level of oil and gas production," said Arya Dwi Paramita, Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (Subholding Upstream Pertamina) in a written statement, Tuesday 4 January.
Furthermore, Arya emphasized that the implementation of drilling wells at the turn of this year is also a form of Pertamina's commitment to continue to make efforts without pause in increasing oil and gas production.
On New Year's Eve, Pertamina together with SKKMigas also ensured that oil and gas lifting activities at terminals and delivery points for all work areas could run smoothly so that oil and gas lifting in 2021 could be achieved maximally.
As of November 2021, Pertamina's Subholding Upstream oil and gas production will reach 887 MBOEPD consisting of 437 MBOPD of oil and 2,608 MMSCFD of gas. This result is oil and gas production from all Pertamina Upstream Subholding work areas including those from abroad. Meanwhile, domestic production alone reached 340 MBOPD of oil and 2,290 MMSCFD of gas.
"We will continue to make efforts to increase production to be able to contribute optimally in supporting efforts to achieve the national production target of 1 million BOPD and 12 BSCFD in 2030 and carry out operational activities while prioritizing work safety and operating activities that support efforts to reduce emissions towards Net Zero Emission in 2060," he concluded.
