AirAsia Teams Up With Agoda To Resurrect Travel In Southeast Asia

JAKARTA - Airline AirAsia is working with the digital travel platform Agoda to revive travel interest in Southeast Asia. Both of them again present cheap travel promos for their users.

The collaboration between the two travel service providers makes it easy for customers to find a wide selection of travel products and plan their trips more comfortably.

"I am very pleased to announce our partnership with Agoda. This is part of the group's strategy to adjust travel trends in anticipation of the reopening of regional borders in Southeast Asia in the near future," AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes said in an official broadcast, Tuesday, 25 August.

The initiatives from this collaboration include travel packages, special offers for members, to joint product marketing. AirAsia.com customers have more choices with the availability of more than 600,000 Agoda stays.

"Currently, people's interest in traveling is still high, and we believe that collaboration with AirAsia will make it easier for customers to find the best deals," added Agoda CEO John Brown.

Flight Ticket Promo

PT AirAsia Indonesia also reported a growth in the number of ticket bookings reaching 400 percent. Where previously, this company experienced a significant decrease in operating income due to non-operational flights from 1 April to 18 June 2020.

To support revenue levels, the company is also still focusing part of its operations on passenger and cargo charter flights on 17 flight routes, from April to July 2020. This airline is also providing flight ticket discount promotions of up to 20 percent for all domestic routes to be operated. as of 1 September 2020.

AirAsia Indonesia President Director Veranita Yosephine Sinaga said that the four new routes that will be opened on September 1 2020 are Denpasar-Labuan Bajo, Denpasar-Lombok, Denpasar-Yogyakarta, and Denpasar-Solo.

The discount airfare of up to 20 percent is available starting today, Monday, 14 August 2020 to 26 August 2020. The promo is valid for flight schedules from 1 September to 6 December 2020, and includes 15 kilograms of baggage.

"With ticket discounts, special rapid test rates and additional free baggage and points from AirAsia, we hope that this time we will continue to stimulate enthusiasm in the future, as well as educate the public that flying is easier," said Veranita through her press release.
