Aliza Gunado Continues To Stick At Azis Syamsuddin's Conference, KPK Immediately Determines Attitude
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will immediately determine further legal steps against the former chairman of the Golkar Party Youth Force (AMPG), Aliza Gunado.
This is in response to the testimony given by Aliza in the trial of the alleged bribery handling of the case in Central Lampung that ensnared the former Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Azis Syamsuddin. At that trial, the Jakarta Corruption Court asked the Corruption Eradication Commission to determine the steps because he often dodged.
"Of course, what the judge said is a serious concern for us to determine the next attitude towards the witness in question," said Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, to reporters, Tuesday, January 4.
He made sure that all of Aliza's statements at trial, including when she was confronted with other witnesses, had been recorded. Furthermore, the prosecutor will analyze the statements between witnesses and the results will be included in the fact analysis of the indictment.
"Even though there are differences in the statements between witnesses, we also hope that all of these witness statements will be assessed and considered by the judge in their decision," he said. Previously, the judge at the trial for alleged bribery handling the case in Central Lampung handed over the fate of Aliza Gunado to the KPK. This is because he gave a different statement from the other witnesses.
"The public prosecutor please respond to the attitude of the witness named Aliza Gunado," said Chief Justice Muhammad Damis at the trial held at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Tuesday, January 3.
The judge gave up because Aliza stated that she did not know the other witnesses, even though the three witnesses presented admitted that they knew her.
"We fully submit it because the three witnesses said that they knew and had known a person named Aliza, but she stated that she never knew and never knew these three people.
The witnesses who were presented at the trial were the former Head of the Office of Bina Marga Central Lampung, Aan Riyanto; Head of the Central Lampung Highways Office, Taufik Rahman; and a consultant in Central Lampung named Darius Hartawan.
