Barcelona In Debt Of Rp16 Trillion, Laporta Confident Can Anchor Haaland To Camp Nou
JAKARTA - Barcelona official Joan Laporta said his team did not rule out bringing Erling Haaland to Barcelona next summer.
The reason is clear, he feels obliged to make the Blaugrana a great team after stumbling at the start of the season.
"Haaland? Our obligation is to build a great team. Everything is possible if we do well. And I'm sure we will do well. Soon we will see a sporting revival from Barca," Laporta said. .
Haaland is currently the target of many big European clubs after his good performances for Borussia Dortmund this season, scoring 19 goals in 16 appearances in all competitions.
In addition, the player's release clause will drop to 75 million euros or around IDR 1.2 trillion at the end of this season.
This has attracted the interest of many big European clubs including Barcelona to sign the 21-year-old striker and are trying to get a pre-contract agreement in the transfer market this winter.
Even so, Barcelona is recorded to still have a debt of 1 billion euros or around Rp. 16 trillion.
