KSAD Visits Bukit Barisan Military Command: If TNI Persons Are Involved In Cases Must Be Legally Processed
JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (Kasad) General TNI Dudung Abdurachman in the first week of 2022 started his working visit to Kodam I/Bukit Barisan, Medan, North Sumatra.
During his inaugural visit this year, the Army Chief of Staff gave direct directions to TNI AD soldiers at Kodam I/Bukit Barisan.
General TNI Dudung reminded all soldiers to prioritize the safety of life in each task execution so that there should not be unit traditions that result in casualties.
"This must not happen so that close supervision and high concern from the 'danru' element (team commander, ed.) to officers need to be increased," General Dudung said to the soldiers, quoted by Antara from a press release from the Indonesian Army Information Service, Monday, 3 January.
"If there are elements of the TNI AD who are involved, they must be processed according to the applicable legal provisions and regulations," he emphasized.
In the same briefing session, Dudung asked unit commanders to pay attention to the welfare of soldiers, protect them, and become leaders who are able to make decisions quickly and accurately.
The Army Chief of Staff also encouraged all TNI AD soldiers to hold positive activities to help the community solve various existing problems.
The Army Chief of Staff's arrival at the Soewondo Air Base, Medan, Monday, was welcomed by the main officials of Kodam I/Bukit Barisan, Forkopimda of North Sumatra Province, and several interfaith figures. Kasad visited Medan with the General Chairperson of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana Rahma Dudung Abdurachman and a number of key officials from the Indonesian Army Headquarters.
At the Kodam I/Bukit Barisan Headquarters, the Army Chief of Staff not only gave directions to soldiers, but also planted trees and handed over a car to the Kodam, and social assistance for the Baitul Mustaghfirin Al Amir Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes).
The Army Chief of Staff then continued his working visit to the Yonarmed Headquarters 2/105 Tarik/KS.
In the Jarot Soepadmo Makoyonarmed Hall 2/105, Kasad reminded soldiers to avoid acts that are against the law and against the norms of soldiering.
"Continue to increase cohesiveness, corps spirit, and loyalty wherever you are. This is very necessary because at some point in carrying out tasks, a strong corps spirit is needed," said Dudung to the soldiers of Yonarmed 2/105.
The Army Chief of Staff and his entourage are scheduled to continue their working visits to the working area of Special Raider Battalion 136/TS in Batam, Riau Islands, and Composite Battalion-1/Gardapati in Natuna, Riau Islands, Tuesday, January 4.
