Japanese Airlines Offer Valentine's Day Tourist Charter Flights For Lucky Groups
JAKARTA - A lucky group of up to six people can win the chance, to charter a jet plane on a scenic flight past Mount Fuji for about two hours on Valentine's Day for 'only' 1 million yen or around Rp.123,996,900
Low-cost carrier Jetstar Japan Co., will accept applications for charter flights on its website between December 7 and 16, and offer the flights to lottery winners. The plane will depart from and arrive at Narita International Airport, east of Tokyo, Japan, citing The Mainichi Dec. 6.
The airline envisions a circular route flying over Mount Fuji using the Airbus A320, which normally seats 180 passengers. Two pilots and a flight attendant are likely to be on the plane.
Pointing out that people can't travel freely for extended periods of time due to the coronavirus pandemic, the company suggests, "Why don't you get a Valentine's Day charter flight to make up for the days you can't spend with your loved ones?"
Jetstar will also start selling a total of 100 'lucky bags' containing three, four, five, six, eight or 10 flight tickets at the "n_space" pop-up shop in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward on December 26.
Each ticket is valid for one ticket from a regular Jetstar Japan flight route. Lucky bag tickets are priced at 2,022 yen (about 18 US dollars) each, with the hope "it will be a new beginning of the travel experience in 2022 to make up for the patience of the last 20 months."
