Inpatients At Wisma Atlet Hospital Add 87 People Today

JAKARTA - The number of COVID-19 patients undergoing quarantine at Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Jakarta has increased to 87 people.

"Inpatients confirmed positive (Covid-19) in Tower 5 and Tower 6 as many as 912 people, while the original number (one day earlier) was 825. There were an additional 87 inpatients," said the Head of Information for the Joint Defense Area Command I TNI, Marine Colonel Aris Mudian was quoted by Antara, Monday, January 3.

From March 23, 2020 to January 3, 2021, the number of patients referred to the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital was 130,923 people.

Of that number, 128,357 Covid-19 patients recovered and were discharged from the hospital, while 1,058 patients were referred to other hospitals. He noted that 596 people died at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital as of January 3, 2022.

In addition, Aris also conveyed the development of the situation at the Galang Island Infection Special Hospital, Batam, Riau Islands. The number of inpatients at the Galang Island Hospital as of Monday was 228 people.

"There are 228 inpatients, of whom 160 are men and 68 are women. The 228 patients were all confirmed positive for COVID-19," said Aris as quoted from his written statement.

He noted that in the last 24 hours the number of inpatients at the Galang Island Hospital decreased by five people. "As of January 3, 2022, there were 228 hospitalized patients, originally (one day earlier) 233 people," he said.

From April 12, 2020 to January 3, 2022, Galang Island KI Hospital received a total of 17,918 patients. Of that number, 17,689 patients have been discharged from the hospital. Galang Island KI Hospital reported that until January 3, 2022, one patient died due to COVID-19.
