SOLO - Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka asked new officials in the City Government to focus on speeding up serving the community and absorption of the budget. As a form of appreciation, Gibran prepared reward and punishment.

"I have said that there are rewards and punishments (awards and sanctions), later there will be. What I emphasize is budget absorption and speed of serving the community, the focus is on those two," he said after the Inauguration and Taking of Oaths/Pledges of Position of 850 officials in the City Government. , Surakarta City Hall Complex, Antara, Monday, January 3.

Gibran hopes that this year's budget absorption can be better than the previous year. Regarding the mutation of a number of employees, he said, an open selection process had previously been carried out.

"The assessment is from there as well as the performance of the previous service. There are special indicators such as performance skills and readiness to face the challenges of the times, today's times are different. I have conveyed that in my directives," he said.

As a driving force and change, Gibran asked the ASN officials of the Solo City Government to be able to collaborate and innovate in serving the community. HR is the main supporting factor and asset for an organization.

"Similarly, Surakarta City ASN. In this new structure, each inaugurated official must be able to become a good mentor, driving force, and change for human resources in the organization they lead," he said.

Including about innovation and creativity, according to him, there will be very little in 2021. Therefore, he said, a new mindset and positive energy must be built while respecting existing values.

Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of Surakarta City, Ahyani, said that in terms of awards for outstanding ASNs, it would be measured by performance achievements according to schedule.

"It will be evaluated later, now there are many performance achievements that are not on schedule so that the budget absorption is not maximum. If it can be 100 percent, this does not have to be money (budget absorption) but can be physical," he said.

As for the sanctions that may be applied, one of them is in the form of a warning. "The impact may also be an incentive. We will see what the progress will be, monitoring can be done at any time," he said.
