Jerk! Eminem Buys NFT Bored Ape Yacht For IDR 6.4 Billion

JAKARTA – Top rapper Eminem reportedly bought the popular NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) recently. NFT BAYC has generated more than $1 billion in volume as reported by defillama.com. The rapper bought BAYC #9055 for 123.45 Ethereum, around $452,000 on Thursday 30 December 2021.

Eminem also made the NFT BAYC his Twitter profile photo. Buyer BAYC #9055 goes by the name “Shady_Holdings” in the NFT Opensea marketplace. From his portfolio, he has a number of other NFT collections such as Lil Baby Doodles X NFT, Ditaggdogg#1 which features stenciled images of the rapper. In addition he also has Superlative Apes #3880.

The previous owner with the Twitter handle @Gee__Gazza expressed his gratitude to Eminem for buying his NFT Bored Ape.

Eminem earns 124 Ether from an account that goes under the name ENS georgio.eth. The account holds 504 NFT of 51 collectibles including Bored Ape Yacht Club #4936 and spent 43.98 ether (equivalent to 164,832 US dollars) on two Cryptopunks.

Metric data from dappradar.com as of January 1, 2021 shows that Eminem is active in the NFT industry. Eminem's NFT sales follow the recording artist's beat-inspired NFT animation for Stans in April. Eminem's NFT sale takes place on the Nifty Gateway NFT marketplace.
