Dealing With Congestion, Bogor Regent Issues Perbup Restrictions On Mining Truck Operational Hours
BOGOR - The Regent of Bogor, West Java, Ade Yasin issued Regent Regulation (Perbup) Number 120 of 2021 concerning Restrictions on Operational Time for Mining Special Goods Transport Vehicles on Bogor Regency roads.
"The operational time for special mining goods transportation vehicles is from 20.00 WIB to 05.00 WIB," he said, quoted by Antara, Sunday, January 2, 2022.
According to him, the perbup is effective from January 1, 2022 even though the regulations have been set on December 29, 2021.
Ade Yasin said the operational time limitation applies to all mining-specific goods transport vehicles such as soil, sand, stone, or limestone/limestone.
He explained that the Perbup was one of the strategies to deal with congestion in the western region of Bogor Regency. The Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) has prepared a strategy for dealing with traffic congestion in the short to long term in its area.
"We are preparing several scenarios for handling congestion, starting from enforcing large truck operating hours, to opening new roads," said Ade Yasin.
According to him, there are 12 congestion points on the western route of Bogor Regency, five of which are marked as severe congestion points, namely the Dramaga, Ciampea, Cibatok, Cibungbulang, and Leuwiliang areas.
Meanwhile, member of the Bogor Regency Development Acceleration Team, Gus Udin, said that the first step in opening the route in the western region was to continue the Dramaga Circle Line.
He explained that the Session II Dramaga Circle Line would be connected from Dramaga to Cikampak. In addition, the Bogor Regency Government will accelerate the construction of Jalan Rancabungur to Galuga.
"So, later on, the public or road users from Leuwiliang or Leuwisadeng will not need to go through Cibungbulang, but can directly use the Galuga access to Rancabungur," said the man whose real name is Saepudin Muhtar.
Then, the handling of short-term congestion in the western region is carried out by enforcing the operating hours of large trucks, as has been the case on the northern route.
"We will limit operating hours, such as in Gunungsindur which applies to large trucks. The district government will place officers at the entry and exit points of the vehicle. That is for the short term,” said Gus Udin.
