Expelled By The KPK Because He Did Not Pass The TWK, Rasamala Aritonang Chose To Join The Febri Diansyah Law Office
JAKARTA - Former Head of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Draft Regulation and Legal Product Division, Rasamala Aritonang decided to join the Visi Law Office with former KPK Spokespersons, Febri Diansyah and Donal Fariz who were formerly active in Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW).
Rasamala is one of 57 KPK employees who were expelled from the KPK after failing to become a state civil servant (ASN) because they did not pass the National Insight Test (TWK).
Not only that, Rasamala is also one of the former KPK employees who turned down an offer as a state civil servant (ASN) for the National Police some time ago.
The news of Rasamala joining the law office was conveyed by Febri Diansyah. According to him, his colleague's decades of experience will add ammunition to the Law Office's Vision.
"Yes, (Rasamala, ed)'s experience of 14 years in the KPK Legal Bureau, we hope it will strengthen the core values of this law office," Febri said in a written statement quoted on Sunday, January 2.
He said that Visi Law Office invited Rasamala to join because this law office was not only a provider of legal services but also focused on efforts to eradicate corruption.
Meanwhile, Rasamala said the choice to join had been discussed for a long time with Febri and Donal Fariz. So, only on January 1 last, he decided to join.
"I have actually discussed the choice to join VISION for a long time with Febri and Donal and I have considered it well," wrote Rasamala via his Twitter account @RasamalaArt.
The choice, he continued, was based on the common vision of law enforcement in Indonesia and the important role that advocates had. Thus, Rasamala believes this law office will become a new vehicle in an effort to enforce a clean and fair law.
"I believe the VISION law office will become a new vehicle that is no less great to fight for law enforcement that is clean, fair and dignified," he said.
"In the world of advocates practicing law cleanly and fairly is a big challenge, I understand, but the change must begin and our law office takes up the challenge with all the stakes! Please pray for us," he concluded.
