On Jokowi's Instructions On Accelerating Development Permits, Laiskodat Governor Asks The NTT Police To Take A Stand

JAKARTA - East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Governor Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat asked the new NTT Regional Police Chief (Kapolda), Inspector General of Police Setyo Budiyanto to help resolve licensing issues in areas in the archipelago-based province.

"Your presence (Inspector General Pol Setyo Budiyanto, ed) is also positive energy for us in solving several problems, including licensing in each district for us to speed up," said Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat in a press release from the Public Relations Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of NTT, quoted on Saturday, 1 December.

Laiskodat also conveyed this at the NTT Police Chief's Meeting and Farewell event at the Ina Boi Hall of the NTT Police Chief's Office in Kupang.

Inspector General of Police Setyo Bidiyanto served as NTT Police Chief replacing Inspector General of Police Drs. Lotharia Latif who took on a new task as the Maluku Regional Police Chief.

Governor Laiskodat said his government welcomed the presence of Inspector General of Police Setyo Budiyanto as the new Kapolda in NTT.

He asked Inspector General of Police Setyo Budiyanto to help resolve problems in NTT, one of which is in every district/city so that it can be accelerated.

"We have to form a team to handle it. President Joko Widodo has also instructed that every permit be accelerated," he said.

Governor Laiskodat further explained that the new NTT Regional Police Chief is a former Director of Investigations of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) so that the spirit of being an investigator continues to be applied in NTT.

"A country or a region is developed if the government is not greedy, there is no greed," he said.

He also expressed his gratitude for the long service of the NTT Regional Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Lotharia Latif for his extraordinary performance and enthusiasm for the province.
