New Year's Holiday, TMII Tourist Area Visitors Soared To 1500 People

JAKARTA - The tourist area of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) in East Jakarta is starting to fill up with visitors during the 2022 new year's early holidays. Visitors come from various regions for a vacation with family.

The queue of prospective visitors also occurred at the entrance of TMII. The visitors wait their turn to enter one of the tourist attractions in Jakarta.

In fact, potential visitors who want to take a vacation to this tourist location in East Jakarta must order tickets online first. However, due to the high enthusiasm of the community, the queue of vehicles also snaked long at the entrance. Meanwhile, visitors take advantage of this new year's holiday to vacation with family.

According to Rizal, one of the TMII visitors said he came with his family to take a vacation to take advantage of the holiday.

"Because it's a family vacation, so I went to Taman Mini. I was scanned for vaccination and checked for health. I hope that there are no problems, it's fine," said Rizal, a visitor from Tangerang at TMII, Saturday, January 1.

Atin, another visitor said the same thing. Atin came with her husband and parents to Taman Mini to make parents happy who came from their hometown.

"In order to please parents, from the village they want to play. The goal is to go to the mini park first. On the red day, it's a holiday and my husband is also on holiday," he said.

Visitors who come must follow the health protocols that have been implemented. The health check was carried out by officers with strict security since entering the tourist area.

Head of Public Relations of TMII Adi Widodo said, since 10:00 WIB the number of visitors to TMII was recorded at 1,500 people. To anticipate long queues, the manager will add officers.

"Today and tomorrow we will sell tickets online. We will add additional health and service supervisors at the entrance to prevent long queues," he told reporters.

Meanwhile, the favorite areas for TMII visitors are open or outdoor areas and regional platforms. "Operating hours are closed until 15.00 WIB so that there is no surge in visitors," he said.
