New Year 2022, 12,283 People Visited Ragunan
JAKARTA - The number of visitors at Ragunan Wildlife Park (TMR), South Jakarta, from the beginning of the 2022 New Year to Saturday at 11.00 WIB has reached 12,283 people, said TMR Information and Public Relations Staff, Wahyudi Bambang.
“Compared to the Christmas holiday at that time there were 17,000, today there are not many. On the last day of December 31, 2021, it was also a little less, less than 10,000," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, January 1.
He explained that even though it has entered 2022, the capacity determined by his party is only 50 percent or the equivalent of 30,000 visitors who have registered online.
In addition to visitors, there were also quite a number of vehicles that came, even though odd-even regulations had been applied to all types of vehicles.
With details on the number of vehicles that arrived up to 11.00 WIB, there were two buses, 621 four-wheeled vehicles, 1,096 two-wheeled vehicles and 52 bicycles.
Based on field observations, the current condition of Ragunan is quite crowded because many people come to see the animals or sit under a tree enjoying the wind and eating with their extended family.
For the most visited animal locations, it is clear that orangutans and elephants are the favorites of most visitors, especially children.
Meanwhile, facilities such as character trains that are provided to circle the area are seen to be quite attractive because they are packed with visitors to the back row of seats.
It will not pursue the large number of visitors who attend. The manager is more concerned with maintaining a safe distance as an effort to implement disciplined health protocols so as to reduce the risk of transmitting COVID-19 to visitors.
To run it, his party continues to run operating hours as usual starting at 07.00-14.30 WIB. However, half an hour earlier, his party would urge all visitors to return home to sterilize the location.
Meanwhile, to keep the health protocol running, the manager cooperates with the TNI and Polri with an increased number of personnel.
His party appealed to visitors, to register online first if you want to make a visit. Because those who have not registered are not allowed to enter the Ragunan area.
He asked the public to consistently implement the health protocols, even though they were in Ragunan.
It is expected not to remove the mask under any circumstances and bring hand sanitizer to avoid germs.
"We urge the public to maintain the health protocols even though we think it is almost normal. But don't let your guard down, Omicron is still around. Health protocols must be maintained," said Wahyudi Bambang.
A visitor, Rochman (29) said he came to Ragunan to find a new atmosphere at the start of the new year after previously spending more time at work.
"Coming here to look for a new view. Coincidentally, coming here was thought to be quiet, because it was quite busy," he said.
He explained that even though it was crowded, he was still able to maintain a safe and comfortable distance. The officers also always appeal to the discipline of health protocols and the importance of keeping a distance.
"Hopefully this continues. It's better to be limited (visitors) than crowded, it's scary and crowded," said Rochman.
