Orderly, There Are No Cafes And Bars In Jakarta That Violate The Restrictions On Operating Hours During The New Year

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya revealed that the New Year's Eve 2022 in Jakarta was running in an orderly manner and there were no cafes and bars that violated the operating hours regulations. All entertainment venues are closed at 22.00 WIB on New Year's Eve.

"Yesterday they were still 'cats and cats', right now, if you see that there are no 'cats and cats', all are closed, entrepreneurs mean that they have made a good decision to free Jakarta from COVID-19," said the Director of Drug Investigations at Polda Metro Jaya Pol. Kombes Mukti Juharsa in Jakarta, Saturday, January 1.

Mukti also appreciated the businessmen who were willing to follow the government's instructions by closing at 22.00 WIB on New Year's Eve 2022. "I thank the owners of places, entrepreneurs, and entertainment venues who are orderly for New Year's Eve," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

Mukti said the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya deployed around 100 personnel to patrol on New Year's Eve.

Although fairly orderly in general, the Polda Metro Jaya Directorate of Drugs and Drugs patrol found the Food Street Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) culinary tourism area to be crowded with visitors until 23.30 WIB.

However, the persuasive efforts of Jepolisian officers were able to convince culinary entrepreneurs who were still operating to close immediately and disperse the crowd of visitors in the Food Street area.

Polda Metro Jaya has limited the operating hours of cafes, restaurants and bars and various similar businesses until 22.00 WIB on New Year's Eve 2022.

The police have also given a warning that they will take firm action by sealing businesses that violate these operating hours.

The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya together with the DKI Jakarta Transportation Service even enforced Crowd Free Night (CFN) at 11 points in the Jakarta area. The CFN policy will be implemented in the New Year of 2022 starting at 22.00-04.00 WIB on January 31, 2021 and January 1, 2022.
