NTB Police Chief Patrol Motorized To Monitor New Year's Eve

MATARAM - NTB Police Chief West Nusa Tenggara Inspector General Djoko Poerwanto carried out a patrol using a motorbike to monitor the atmosphere of the turn of the year 2021-2022.

The NTB Police Chief carried out his activities with the NTB Governor Zulkieflimansyah and the 162/Wira Bhakti Military Resort Command Commander Colonel Czi Lalu Irham Rudy Irham Srigede and his entourage.

"The results of the check with the Governor of NTB, conditions on New Year's Eve are relatively safe and can still be monitored by officers," said Inspector General Djoko, after visiting the command post located at the Karang Jangkong intersection, Mataram City, quoted by Antara, Friday, 31 December.

From the post security report, Djoko said that there were several crimes that caught the attention of the police.

"The potential for theft to occur was reported by the officers and this has attracted attention tonight," he said.

From observations, patrols by a group of officials are carried out using two-wheeled vehicles. They circled the city of Mataram by turning on the blue lights of the patrol vehicles.

In the activity, which started from the NTB Police Headquarters, the group also checked activities at one of the shopping centers in Mataram City, namely the Lombok Epicentrum Mall.

The group arrived at the location at around 22.00 WITA. The situation in the shopping center in the middle of the city is already empty of visitors. In fact, it seems that there are no more shops in the mall operating or serving their customers.

In addition to visiting the mall, the group in the night patrol accompaniment also conveyed an appeal to motorists to maintain health protocols to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. The message is conveyed using a loudspeaker.

From this series of patrol activities, the group also visited security posts and integrated services which are on the way to tourist areas in the West Lombok Regency area.
