Garuda Indonesia Reduces Routes, Pos Indonesia Guarantees Uninterrupted Logistics Services
JAKARTA - PT Pos Indonesia guarantees that the reduction of Garuda Indonesia's domestic routes will not interfere with their courier and logistics services. Because, Pos Indonesia management will cooperate with other airlines to run the company's business.
Pos Indonesia's Courier and Logistics Business Director, Siti Choiriana said her party was committed to collaborating with all service providers both land, sea and air. Not only Garuda Indonesia, but also other airlines.
Therefore, said Choiriana, if the Ministry of SOEs reduces the flight route of the issuer with the GIAA stock code, Pos Indonesia management will maximize cooperation with other airlines.
"For example, let me give an example, Pertamina also has Pelita, so we also collaborate with Pelita Air whose traffic is special. For example, we route to Papua directly, that's the position, with various airlines as well," he said when met at the House of Change, Friday, December 31.
Choiriana explained that courier and logistics services are the largest business portfolio owned by Pos Indonesia. Where, its customers are spread throughout the country. Therefore, to encourage the intensity of the courier and logistics business to meet the delivery time of goods to customers, management does not rely on only one airline.
"We definitely collaborate with SOEs, but if there is no route there, while we have to fulfill it, customers are everywhere, so because customers are everywhere, so we also collaborate with service providers, that's what we do," he said.
Even so, Choiriana said that two-way communication between Garuda Indonesia and Pos Indonesia was still going well, including with other state-owned service providers.
"In principle, we engage them well, we have good synergy with SOEs, we only have the option to use other airlines when they are not around," he said.
For your information, in 2016, the national airline Garuda Indonesia collaborated with PT Pos Indonesia to expand its cargo service network to service users of the two companies.
The cooperation will be implemented in stages starting from Makassar, South Sulawesi, where through this collaboration, the two companies will take advantage of each other's distributions.
The synergy between the two companies is considered to be able to strengthen the company's mission in their respective fields and optimize every existing strength.
