Two Police Officers Involved In Beating Up In Jatinegara, Investigators Raise Their Status As Suspects Next Week

JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) will soon name a suspect related to a beating case involving members of the National Police in the Bidara Cina area, East Jakarta. In this case, investigators will determine three people.

"We will determine Wednesday (next week) as suspects with the initials T, J and S. After they are determined, we will immediately arrest them," said East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKBP Ahsanul Muqaffi to VOI, Friday, December 31.

The determination of the suspect will be made to the three perpetrators of the beating of teenagers in Bidara Cina.

"There are three perpetrators. 2 members of the National Police and 1 civilian. They are subject to Article 170 of the Criminal Code," he said.

Kasat explained that the incident began when T and J walked to the Bidara Cina area, East Jakarta. When the vehicle used by T and J arrived at one of the housing estates and stuck (dead end), suddenly a crowd of people started beating T and J.

"After being beaten, T and J called their friend, a police officer with the initials S. They made an appointment at UKI, then they were taken to Bidara Cina. It turned out that there were two teenagers (in Bidara Cina). The two teenagers were then beaten and taken to a car," said Kasat. .

Previously, the beating of teenagers by two police officers took place on November 11. The victim was beaten with his bare hands and a police stick by the two police officers. The two police officers beat each other together by involving a civilian.
