Jokowi's Son's Exactly Solo Beats Raffi Ahmad's Cilegon FC Rans In The League 2 Final, But Both Are Confirmed To Promote To League 1
JAKARTA - Persis Solo won Liga 2 after beating Rans Cilegon FC with a score of 2-1 in the final at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor, Thursday.
Persis Solo won the match thanks to two goals from striker Irfan Bachdim, while one goal from Rans Cilegon FC was scored by Alfin Tuasalamony through a penalty kick.
The result made Persis Solo ranked first in Liga 2, followed by Rans Cilegon FC in second place and Martapura Dewa United in third place. The three clubs are then eligible for promotion to Liga 1 next season.
In the first half, both teams played openly and traded attacks against each other.
Persis Solo, who has President Jokowi's son, Kaesang Pangarep, had a golden opportunity in the 17th minute when Irfan Bachdim sent a pass into the penalty box which Beto Goncalves headed, but his effort was denied by goalkeeper Kurniawan Kartika Ajie.
Beto Goncalves again created a golden opportunity, again through his header effort in the Rans Cilegon FC penalty box, but again his efforts could not produce results.
Persis Solo took the lead in the 40th minute when Irfan Bachdim's hard kick after receiving a through ball from Sandi Sute and slotted the ball into Kartika Ajie's goal which made the score 1-0.
Bagging the advantage, Persis Solo was more relaxed in running the game and launched an attack on the Rans Cilegon FC defense, but until the end of the first half, the 1-0 score remained for Laskar Sambernyawa's advantage.
In the second half, Persis Solo scored a quick goal in the 46th minute after Irfan Bachdim scored for the second time receiving a pass from Chrystna Bhagascara.
In the 54th minute, his club Raffi Ahmad Rans Cilegon FC had the opportunity to reduce the gap through the penalty spot after Rifal Lastori was violated by Fabiano Beltrame in the Persis Solo penalty box.
Alfin Tuasalamony who was appointed as the executioner carried out his duties well, breaking into the goal guarded by Harlan Suardi in the 55th minute from the penalty spot.
Persis Solo almost added to the advantage when Irfan Jauhari's shot was blocked by Hamdan Zamzani right in front of the goal mouth of Rans Cilegon FC.
At the end of the second half, Persis Solo almost scored an additional goal when Ferdinand Sinaga made a quick counter-attack, but his shot was still sideways to the right side of the Rans Cilegon FC goal.
In the remaining time of the second half, Persis Solo was able to secure victory over Rans Cilegon FC with a score of 2-1 and ensured that they won the League 2 competition.
