Takziah To The House Of The Prospective In-laws, Woman In North Sumatra Killed By Collapsed Concrete

MEDAN - A woman in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra named Fifi (20) died when a building collapsed. The unfortunate incident happened when he was on a pilgrimage to the house of the deceased father-in-law.

Kapolsek Galang, AKP P Sarianto Simbolon said the incident occurred Tuesday, December 28. Initially, the victim received news from his father that his fiancé, Rendi, had died due to illness.

Because of that, the victim then paid tribute to the funeral home in Galang District. While there, suddenly the house belonging to his fiancée collapsed and hit 5 people, including Fifi.

"The concrete of the house suddenly collapsed and hit 5 residents. Meanwhile, the bereaved family who were near the body was 3 meters from the rubble, so they were not hit by the concrete rubble," said AKP Sarianto, in a statement, Thursday, December 30.

During the incident, 4 other people were injured. While the victim Fifi died at the scene.

"The condition of the head (of the victim) is leaking, he died. (The victim) is a prospective son-in-law of the owner of the house," he explained.

He suspected, the accident occurred because the construction of the house of the victim's husband-to-be was not solid.

"The information that has developed from residents is that the building construction is not strong," he said.
