Korlantas Predicts New Year's Holiday Return, Congestion Breaker Scheme Prepared

JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Police has predicted the peak of backflow for the 2022 New Year holiday. Korlantas is preparing a scheme to prevent vehicle congestion.

"The prediction of the backflow will occur on Friday, December 31, 2021 and Sunday, January 2, 2022," said Acting Head of the Head of the National Police Korlantas Kombes Dodi Darjanto to reporters, Thursday, December 30.

The scheme chosen to prevent the accumulation of vehicles is to apply contra flow at a number of toll road points.

The contra flow scheme will be applied to the KM 45 to KM 65 Cikampek toll road to the east or out of Jakarta. Then, KM 61 to 47 to the west or enter the Jakarta area.

In addition, a one-way scheme on toll roads will be implemented. However, its application is situational.

The contra flow will be in effect until January 3, 2021, although the date of implementation has not yet been stated. In addition, Dodi emphasized that he would not apply an isolation scheme, but that the National Police and related agencies would maximize security posts

"There is no partition, the Police have optimized 1,845 Pam posts and 177,212 personnel," said Dodi.
