Victims Of Fraud By Prosecutors In NTB Increase, Asked For Rp. 100 Million To Pass The CPNS Selection

MATARAM - The number of victims of suspected fraud cases carried out by an individual prosecutor with the initials EP in the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) area is increasing. The total number of victims so far is two.

"Another complaint has emerged. So there are two victims," said spokesman for the NTB High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) Dedi Irawan in Mataram, Antara, Thursday, December 30.

The alleged fraud mode by the alleged EP was revealed according to the complaint report just received by the NTB Prosecutor's Office of Supervision. The EP mode is promising to pass the selection of prospective civil servants (CPNS).

"Information from the supervisory field, now the complaint report is still being studied," he said.

Regarding the report of an additional victim's complaint with the initials JT in this case, this is also corroborated by the confession of NI, the grandfather of the victim.

JT, who is still active as a prosecutor's employee, admitted that his granddaughter was also a victim of EP, when she participated in the selection of CPNS within the Indonesian Attorney's Office in November 2021.

The victim, who is a graduate of the bachelor's degree, registers to take part in the selection with the formation of the prison guard. Suspected EP promised the victim from Central Lombok that he would pass the CPNS selection on condition that he surrendered the money.

"Initially, they asked for 100 million, but they only got Rp. 75 million," said JT.

However, the fate of the victim is no different from ME, the first fraud victim to report EP to the NTB Prosecutor's Office of Supervision. The victim with the initials NI died at the Basic Competency Selection (SKD) stage.

Disappointed with EP's promise, the victim asked for the money back. Until it was reported to the NTB Prosecutor's Office of Supervision, the victim had only received a refund of Rp. 25 million.

"Just replaced Rp25 million, there is evidence of the receipt, last November 24," he also said.
