Bareskrim Checks Djoko Tjandra And Tommy Sumardi In The Red Notice Case

JAKARTA - Bareskrim Polri is scheduled to investigate Djoko Tjandra and Tommy Sumardi as witnesses in the alleged corruption case of removing red notice.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono said that the two of them would be examined as witnesses for the suspects Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte and Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo.

"It's true, JST (Joko S. Tjandra or Djoko Tjandra) and TS (Tommy Sumardi) were examined as witnesses," said Argo in Jakarta, Monday, August 24.

Argo on this occasion said that his party would also examine Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte and Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo. However, after the second inspection was completed.

"NB and PU will be examined on Tuesday, August 25, 2020," said Argo.

In this case the police have named four people as suspects. They are Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte and Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo. Both are suspected as recipients of bribes for red notice removal.

Both of them are pursued by Article 5 Paragraph 2, Article 11 and Article 12 letters a and b of Law Number 20 of 2020 concerning Corruption Crime (Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.

While the other two people are bribes. They are Djoko Tjandra and Tomi Sumardi. Both of them were charged under Article 5 Paragraph 1, Article 13 of Law 20/2020 concerning Corruption Crime (Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.

In the bribery case, investigators confiscated US $ 20 thousand as evidence.

"There is evidence of 20 thousand USD and there is a letter, there is a cellphone, there is a laptop, there is CCTV as evidence," said Argo.
