Mrs. Ani, A Tanah Abang Resident, Suggested To The Metro Police Chief: Can Boxing Not Be Made Instead Of Children Fighting Every Night?
JAKARTA - Ani, a resident of Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, proposed to the Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran to hold a boxing match. This proposal is to overcome the rampant brawls among teenagers.
This proposal was conveyed by Ani when the Polda Metro Jaya held a presentation of the results of their work during 2021. Ani was indeed invited to attend as a victim of an online loan case (pinjol).
"I hope that as a citizen of Tanah Abang, in Tanah Abang there are brawls almost every night, the children can't make boxing like that," said Ani at the Polda Metro Jaya, Thursday, December 30.
"What boxing-boxing? Boxing match like that?" replied Inspector General Fadil.
According to Ani, this activity is better than that of young people, especially those in Tanah Abang who always spend their time hanging out until it ends in a brawl.
"Young people have been hanging out all this time, sir, so if it's a weekend instead of hanging out, let's boxing, which group is that. (for example, red) Kebon Kacang with Kebon Melati," said Ani.
Inspector General Fadil just smiled when he heard Ani's input. He said the expression of the mother's wish from the Tanah Abang resident reflected the innocence of a citizen.
Residents are worried about the frequent brawls. Moreover, it often causes losses due to the damage caused by brawls.
"What it is (Ani's mother, ed), children who like to fight are told to make a ring, they say, it's interesting," said Inspector General Fadil.
