Secure The Anyer-Carita Tourist Route, Banten Police Deploy 200 Personnel

SERANG - The traffic directorate of the Banten Regional Police has dispatched about 200 security personnel who are involved in the 2021 Candlelight Maung Operation, especially for traffic security on the Anyer-Carita tourist route ahead of the 2022 New Year celebrations.

"We have 200 personnel on standby to provide security and services to the community ahead of the 2022 New Year holiday, of course at this momentum there will be community mobility to the Anyer and Carita tourist attractions," said the Director of Lantas Polda Banten Kombes Rudy Purnomo while holding a security rally for the 2022 New Year celebrations. in Anyer, Serang, reported by Antara, Thursday, December 30.

Rudy Purnomo said security activities ahead of the 2022 New Year in Banten have 4 targets that must be secured, namely people, goods, places and activities. His party focused on security around the Anyer tourist attraction in Serang Regency to Carita Beach in Pandeglang Regency.

"Starting today, we will focus on securing the tourist objects on Anyer and Carita beaches, both hotels, cottages and shopping areas, so that they are optimal in providing security services to the community. So that community activities are not disturbed and a safe and conducive situation is created, " said Rudy Purnomo. He also emphasized that the personnel on duty always coordinate with the relevant agencies.

"After this security meeting, personnel will be placed at several crucial points, both on routes where traffic congestion often occurs and at places where people gather," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, AKBP Shinto Silitonga, appealed to the public in the celebration of the 2022 New Year holiday to continue implementing strict health protocols. Thus, he said, efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 could be anticipated, especially now that there is a new variant of COVID-19 Omicron.

"We urge the public to be disciplined in implementing the procedures to prevent the occurrence of new COVID-19 clusters in celebration of the 2022 New Year," said Shinto Silitonga.
