Attorney General Moves Offices After Fire
JAKARTA - Attorney General ST Burhanuddin together with a number of leaders of the Attorney General's Office will temporarily move offices. According to Kapuspenkum Kejagung Hari Setiyono, this move occurred because the office they usually occupy in the Main Office of the Attorney General's Office was burnt down on fire on Saturday night, August 22.
For the time being, the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General Setya Untung Mulyadi, and the Deputy Attorney General for Development and other employees such as the head of the bureau will have an office at the Campus A Training Agency, Ragunan, Jakarta.
"Starting tomorrow, he will have an office at the Campus A Training Agency, Ragunan. So those who are based at Badiklat Campus A, Ragunan are the Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General for coaching and staff," Hari said in a press conference broadcast on his account. Meanwhile, the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence will have an office in a different building. "Jamintel and its staff will be based in Badiklat Building B in the Ceger area which also has the Adhiyaksa Hospital," he said.
Furthermore, he emphasized that although this fire scorched all parts of the Attorney General's building, however, the performance of the Adhiyaksa Corps retainer would not experience problems or disturbances even if they had to move locations.
Hari later explained that the main building being used is the second floor as the office of the leadership elements such as the Attorney General and his deputies. Then, on the third and fourth floors are occupied by the intelligence sector.
"Then the fifth and sixth floors are for guidance. The fifth floor is occupied by the Deputy Attorney General for Development," he explained.
Previously, at 19.10 WIB the building belonging to the Adhyaksa Corps caught fire, which was thought to have come from the third floor and it was not certain what caused it.
After burning for almost 12 hours, the fire finally went out at around 06.28 WIB. A total of 65 fire engines including two Bronto Skylift units were deployed to extinguish the fire. There were no fatalities in this incident.
As for the renovation of this building, it will be submitted directly to the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta. This is because this building is included in a protected cultural heritage building.
