Former Director General Of Regional Finance Of The Ministry Of Home Affairs Prevented From Going Overseas Regarding The Case Of Bribery Of Regional PEN Loan Funds
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that it has prevented former Director General of Regional Finance of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) Ardian Noervianto from going abroad.
The prevention was carried out in connection with the alleged bribery of filing for the Regional National Economic Recovery (PEN) fund in 2021 in East Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi which is being investigated.
"Yes, yes, it has been prevented," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata to reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, December 29.
Alexander did not mention Ardian's legal status in this case. However, the prevention is carried out for six months and is aimed at preventing Ardian from traveling abroad when he will be questioned by the anti-corruption commission investigator.
"Yes, there is prevention, right, we prevent it," he said.
Previously, the KPK admitted that it was investigating allegations of giving and receiving bribes related to the application for a 2021 Regional National Economic Recovery (PEN) loan in East Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi in 2021.
This allegation emerged after the KPK developed allegations of bribery in the procurement of goods and services originating from a grant from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB). At that time, the inactive East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya and the East Kolaka District Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Head Anzarullah were named suspects.
However, the Corruption Eradication Commission does not want to detail who the parties are suspected to be involved in. Including the possibility of Andi Merya's involvement in this case. The KPK emphasized that a complete explanation regarding the construction of the case so that who the suspects were and what articles were used would be explained after the forced arrest and detention were carried out.
